The bloodbath AU revolves around the idea of Splinter having the reputation of a deadly assassin. When he mutates, Lou Jitsu is only able to save one of the turtles, the rest somehow find their ways to different parental figures. It happens to be a strike of misfortune when there’s figures happen to be the very people who ruined Lou Jitsu’s life in the first place.
Bloodbath follows the story of all four turtles reuniting, bonding and eventually becoming one as a family.[DISCONTINUED]

Ben made to follow everyone else, but stopped when, in trying to sprint forward even a single step, a sharp sting rattled his right side and stopped him right in his tracks. He grimaced at the pain, instinctively going to place his hands over the throbbing spot. But he froze when he felt something. Something pointy, a bit sharp, sticking out of the spot.
He didn’t even react as Sammy collapsed and the others fell over her. All of his focus was stuck to the three spikes impaled in his body through the thin fabric of his shirt. The exact same spikes that were trapped in Sammy’s left side.

He takes a deep breath.
“I want him the way I should have wanted Jane.”
Max is quiet, when he finally manages to look at her again. Her brows draw together slightly, pausing.
“But,” she whispers, in the space between them. “Will is a boy.”
Mike feels new tears well up behind his lids.
“Max.”
Something shifts in her expression, her mouth parting slightly.
“Oh.”
It’s quiet. Mike’s mouth pulls itself into a bitter smile. “Yeah, oh.”
or, it’s summer ‘90, and while everyone is off to college, Mike and Max scoop up ice cream in the rebuilt Starcourt Mall, reluctantly bonding over their shared hatred for children (and Mike’s little sister and idle friends) who just can’t seem to leave them alone.
or, 5 years later, it isn’t Robin and Steve working at Scoops Ahoy: it’s Max and Mike (who also get accidentally drugged. It's definitely not Steve's fault.)
