In which Avery searches for answers while Derek searches for meaning. Somehow they meet each other in the middle.

Summary
Derek Hutchins wakes up after being in a coma for months. He's alive, so is the King, and they both shouldn't be.
As soon as he finds confirmation that the King in Yellow still exists within his mind, -a haunting, lurking presence, ready to take over at any point- Derek forms a plan. He knows what he must do - it won't be easy, it'll hurt people, he'll lose his second chance at life, but it's the only option he has. If he wants to keep the World safe; to keep the people he loves safe, he has to.
But fate is funny, because just as Derek is about to take his life, Avery finds him again.
And for a short while, Derek's life continues.

Summary
This town was always a strange one, with kids going missing every other week, and people ending up murdered with no one solving the crime. No one gave much thought into it, or else they would end up the same; however, that didn't stop many from trying to find out the secret of the town. While it would end bad for them all, they all agree it came from the forest. The forest that was at the very edge of the town, with many stories about it that kept everyone away since they were children. Yet, three girls couldn't help but be curious about the forest and why it seemed to be the starting point of the madness that went through the town. However, could this be the biggest mistake they made in their lives? And will they live to truly be able to regret it, or will they meet their end just as the ones before them did? Forever leaving the town as a mystery.
