Summary
Dying and waking up as a half-breed Viltrumite is- alright, kinda wild. You'll give it that. Love the powers, not so keen on the failing empire with frankly, not the best planning skills.
And the wanton murder and conquering. Also...bad.
So clearly the answer is to fake your death, join Team Earth, and give the main character of your favourite comic some time to adjust to another Viltrumite being around, before you get all stategic and shit.
He definitely won't do something stupid like abscond from the planet to save alien bugs. Definitely won't leave you to become a PR nightmare of a superhero in his absence, and stir the pot of your brand of crazy with the lack of satisfying action.
Yuuuup.

Summary
After the world forgot him, Peter kept fighting. He was Spider-Man after all. But as the villains get worse and the heroes dwindle, Peter finally grows tired. Hasn't he done his time? He's never once shirked the responsibility forced upon him. Never once has he put himself first.
Eventually, the straw breaks the camel's back. Peter finally hangs up the cape.
Unfortunately the universe seems to disagree. When Peter wakes up in Gotham he knows he should probably find a way home. But what's the point? Normal people don't find their way home across the multiverse, and Peter is normal now. He refuses to be anything else.
So why do unfamiliar heroes keep ending up on his doorstep? And can he really turn them away?

Shortly thereafter, as the recently purchased property of the scum villain Shen Qingqiu himself, Shen Yuan had to wonder if maybe that first thought wouldn’t have been so bad after all. At least Luo Binghe had the protagonist halo! Never in a million years would the protagonist have had to endure the humiliation of being dragged kicking and screaming into the home of the scum villain, who… might not be that scummy after all?
