Summary
Nine years after the events of An Easy Girl (2019), Naïma and Philippe unexpectedly meet again in Paris. Naïma is now a 25-year old chef building her own career, while Philippe, who is now 48 years old, has become a successful figure in the art world. What starts as a chance reunion quickly buds into a new romance.
But the past still lurks in the background. As their relationship grows, the events of that crucible summer in Cannes, and the people connected to them, begin to resurface. Old secrets, betrayals, and unresolved loyalties threaten to come between them, forcing Naïma and Philippe to decide how much of the past they can live with and how much they can trust each other.
The story explores the dynamics of age-gap relationships, and the impact of the passage of time, class differences, friendship, family drama and an evolving understanding of freedom on the relationships between the characters.

On a camping trip celebrating your father's fiftieth birthday party, you cross paths with Jack, his best friend and old military pal. What follows is a seventy-two-hour love affair that ends with his abrupt departure. No note, no calls. You don't even know how to find him - or if you want to.
Four years later, you begin your ER residency at PTMC. Your night shift attending? The same man who took your virginity, broke your heart, and then disappeared without a trace. But you're not the same wide-eyed girl he left behind, and you soon prove yourself as an impressive force of nature.
He’s a curse you can’t break. You are the temptation he can’t resist.

Summary
“We can share my bed.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Why not?”
“Because—” Samira doesn’t have a good reason beyond I don’t think my self-control can survive being that close to you, though, and cuts herself off.
“Compelling argument,” Jack chimes back in. “I hadn’t thought about it that way.”
—
Samira finds herself in a bind when the unit above hers and Jack’s floods, leaving her bedroom out of commission.

Summary
The first thing she notices is the faint smell of mildew, combined with some kind of lemon scented cleaner, the carpet vaguely sticky under her shoes.
The second thing she notices is that the room only has one bed.
Samira stops in her tracks.
Abbot takes a little longer to notice.

Summary
***
After one devastating Fourth of July shift, Samira is ready to leave emergency medicine and PMTC altogether.Abbot asks for six months. A transfer to night shift. A different team. One last chance from July to December. If she still wants to leave, he'll write whatever recommendation she needs.
What begins as one last attempt to save a career, becomes six months of challenging cases, quiet mornings, a fight to change a system that so often fails its patients, and two physicians discovering that some things, some people, are worth fighting for.
This is going to be a good ol’ slooow burn! So if you’re up for the ride, welcome aboard! Updates, hopefully, every Friday/Saturday!

Summary
“Jesus Christ, you smell so good,” Abbot inhales loudly, face buried in her hair. Samira bites back a throaty sound, tightens her fingers on his neck. The skin is so hot there, he must be so flushed.
She knows what it must look like. Saw it last month, as she watched red seep through his cheeks and down his chest. She didn’t dare touch his skin back then. She slides a finger below the collar of his shirt now.
“Samira,” he rasps, mouth open against the skin below her ear. She feels a moist drop there, as he lets his tongue out and sucks on her earlobe. As he bites it. “Can I taste you?”
⋆
After a startling call from Robby, Jack Abbot could use a drink. Samira Mohan could use one, too. That leads them tumbling to his couch.
