Once the girl had left his room, after he had put every possible contact number, email, and address he could think of into her phone, he proceeded to get absolutely shit-faced all by himself on a bottle of berry Absolut someone had left in his mini fridge, drunk dialed Jackson, Greenberg, and Coach Finstock purely to hang up on them and laugh into his pillow for no reason, and then he booked an earlier flight home for Thanksgiving. Stiles was going to need all the time possible to hash things out with his dad, and to cry himself out on Scotty's shoulder. He was going to be a dad.
"Holy Mary Mother of God," he said, channelling the Goonies. "Someone needs to stop me."
Stiles gets a girl pregnant, keeps the baby, learns what a nasal aspirator is, and gets the guy. All in a year's work.

Derek scowls at the page, tempted to flip straight to the back. But in the corner in tiny letters:

With a huff, he does.
The next page has the present date and a short message:Here we are on the first day of me gone. I am on my way to get properly educated and you are on your way to find a treasure chest. Wipe that frown off your face, Sourwolf.
We are both beginning an adventure, so put on something comfortable and pack a change of underwear.There’s an actual treasure map taped to the page.

Summary
It's been years since Jackson has gone back to Beacon Hills.
He learned his lesson last time when all he had to do was step foot on campus grounds to get kidnapped again. Fool him once, shame on Beacon. Fool him twice . . .
So doesn't go back for Christmas or birthdays or business or the ten year reunion that he's inexplicably invited to even though he didn't graduate in America, let alone California's hellmouth of a town.
Danny is the only contact he keeps from that walk of his life and that's plenty for him.
Yet life never gets simpler and the supernatural always gets messy as Jackson's and Danny's informational website made for other struggling creatures out there gets connected to a string of murders. The threat garners the attention of the FBI and fate has consistently possessed a wicked sense of humor.
