Once the girl had left his room, after he had put every possible contact number, email, and address he could think of into her phone, he proceeded to get absolutely shit-faced all by himself on a bottle of berry Absolut someone had left in his mini fridge, drunk dialed Jackson, Greenberg, and Coach Finstock purely to hang up on them and laugh into his pillow for no reason, and then he booked an earlier flight home for Thanksgiving. Stiles was going to need all the time possible to hash things out with his dad, and to cry himself out on Scotty's shoulder. He was going to be a dad.
"Holy Mary Mother of God," he said, channelling the Goonies. "Someone needs to stop me."
Stiles gets a girl pregnant, keeps the baby, learns what a nasal aspirator is, and gets the guy. All in a year's work.

Yet life never gets simpler and the supernatural always gets messy as Jackson's and Danny's informational website made for other struggling creatures out there gets connected to a string of murders. The threat garners the attention of the FBI and fate has consistently possessed a wicked sense of humor.

Summary
Two and a half years after being Bitten, things are finally starting to settle enough that Alpha Scott McCall can start looking beyond his nearest neighbors and repentant enemies for alliances. Naturally, he starts with the Hale Pack; everyone in his Pack is from Beacon Hills (or has at least lived there for a while). They all miss their families, even if they honestly haven't had time to visit since everything started. For that, they need permission, and it would really be simpler for everyone if they didn't have to formally ask every time they wanted to spend the weekend in good old BH. Plus, there was the thing with Stiles.
Everything gets a bit more complicated when Alpha Hale suggests she might be interested in one of the more old-fashioned alliances.
Stiles has never been one to let an opportunity pass him by.
(This started life as "Okay, but what if Stiles volunteered to be married off" and went from there. It's two parts exposition, one part fluff, and one part me trying to avoid writing any politics in my Political Marriage!AU)

“Okay.” Stiles glanced at his phone, wincing at the battery being close to ten percent. It was probably time to call Scott. Turning off the flashlight, mostly to save battery and kind of freaking out over how dark it was—though the half-moon reflecting off the snow helped a bit—he opened his contacts with shaking hands and scrolled through to Scott’s name. Once he hit it, he put the phone to his ear, looking around, and froze.
The phone rang in his ear, but his eyes were locked on something big and moving through the trees.
Oh no. Oh no, no, no.
If that was a fucking bear, Stiles was fucked!
The line kept ringing and ringing, but Scott didn’t answer. Eventually his voicemail picked up and Stiles very slowly lowered the phone and hung up without looking, eyes still on the dark shape in the trees. He glanced down for only a second to turn on the flashlight function again, then lifted it ever so slowly upwards, and felt his breath freeze in his lungs.
It was a wolf.
It was a motherfucking wolf.

There’s a tall figure standing just inside the doorway, covered head to toe in melting snow.
They are layered up so heavily that Derek wants to laugh for a second. Just for a second though, he wouldn’t want to encourage too much frivolity, save anyone not take him seriously enough.
He’s a pillar of the community, he has a reputation to uphold. He settles for one faintly amused raised eyebrow.
Deep, intelligent, golden brown eyes peek out from a tiny gap remaining in the person’s general facial area, from where a bright red scarf is wrapped up so high it’s covering their nose, and a garish yellow Pikachu bobble hat is pulled down right over their eyebrows.
They look completely and utterly ridiculous.
Also, deep, intelligent, golden brown eyes is an absolutely unnecessarily detailed way to describe a stranger’s features. Derek checks himself. He shakes his head. The exhaustion is making him delirious, clearly.
