There were fragments that Sunday wished he could have inherited. Parts that may have helped make this journey a little less daunting.
But that change had to come on his own, over time, with careful steps and allowing himself to fumble. It wouldn’t be as simple as an overnight evolution. Sunday needed to discover who it was he truly wanted to be. He knew he had work to do, but to what end? At what point would he be able to look at himself in the mirror and think ‘This is enough. I am enough.’
