Summary
Peter Parker was back from the dead. At least that is what everybody told him. He'd been snapped out of existence until some sort of time travel and an active death wish by his mentor had saved him and the universe. Just your average sort of life for a 16 year old from Queens.
Peter comes back to find May has a husband and a kid. A new family he has to fit into. But he has done it before, he can do it again.
The only thing that feels solid is Tony: the Blip and fatherhood have mellowed him and Peter loves the bond they have now. He knows Tony would be there for him through anything. But Tony needs to focus on his own recovery - not small time Peter Parker problems. When things at home take a turn for the worse, Peter decides that he'll handle it himself. He is Spider-man. He's been to space and fought aliens. He can get through anything. After all, if May is happy, he is happy, right? Right?

Summary
May says Ben had a few hours on his clock when he got shot, says that he wasn’t supposed to die until later that night, but when they reached the hospital and May held his hand, he chose to transfer his last few hours to her, instead, just to give her that little bit of extra time. Peter thinks he’s a lot like his Uncle Ben, wanting to give their soulmates more time.
But Harley isn’t stupid, and one day, he sees.
He sees the fact that Peter’s clock only gives him a few more years, sees that Peter is scheduled to die at twenty-one now, and when he realizes this, he goes stiff in shock, fingertips skating over the countdown with narrowed eyes and his mouth set in a line.Voice low and monotone, he asks, “What did you do?”

Summary
“Hydra killed my family” Peter said. James’s words were like a seed of rebellion growing in his chest. Hydra weren’t family, Hydra killed his family.
James finally looked up to him. People always said the winter soldier had grey eyes, like steel. They weren’t though, they were a dull blue, once bright that were beaten down after many years. Peter saw a glimpse of the warmth that must’ve once filled him when he gave him a sorrowful look.
“I’m sorry” he said carefully. His eyes darted up in a skittish manner, trying to read Peter’s emotions.
“It’s Hydra’s fault” Peter responded, he met the man’s eyes briefly in acknowledgment. James gave him a tight lipped smile like he had somehow forgotten what a real one was like.
“I think by now, everyone I know is dead” James remarked, almost casually. Peter adverted his eyes.
He didn’t know what to think about that.
