He didn’t know why he liked daffodils. Was it their smell? Not quite right. Or perhaps they matched the eyes of someone he knew. Someone he still knows. Someone sitting upon the grass and fields right beside him.

Summary
When the case of Emily MacFarland opened, Arthur Lester and Peter “Parker” Yang were put on the job for the case. They are soon contacted by the police for the autopsy report, asking them to come over. Confusingly, the doctor’s name was, of all things, John Doe, who had seemingly “grown up” in New York City, with an all too good skill of deduction…

“And here is your Blood and Sand, Mr. Lester.”Alt: In another life, the Order did not give them a good time.

Unlike in the movie, Henrich handles the situation with a surprising amount of propriety and even invites both Victor and Adam over for a dinner party, together with his niece Elizabeth and her fiancé William.
He must have been in a forgiving mood, or perhaps it was merely to show Victor the new apparatus he had acquired for his collection of oddities.
Purely from a place of scientific curiosity, naturally...
