Shane was in trouble, he thought he wasn't really flirting but somewhere along the line, the situation had turned into him being hunted down by a brick wall of a guy who wanted him a lot more than he had any interest in. He made it to the back alley where the man laid him out on the cold asphalt away from the safety of people while breathing down his neck. The weight suddenly disappeared and Shane could see something out of the corner of his eyes, but wasn't sure if he was safe just yet.

Summary
It’s the All-Star Game weekend of 2021, Ilya has more than made a home for himself with the Ottawa Centaurs, and Shane loves having him closer than when he used to play with Boston. They show up in the locker room before everyone else on their All Star team and Shane loses himself in watching Ilya tape his hockey stick which is unfairly attractive to watch. Ilya of course, notices and plays right into it.

This continues from Boston (Part 1), recommend reading them in sequence. In this Shane is alone at Ilya's house and finds instructions from Ilya to keep himself busy (but not too busy) while he and the Boston Raiders show the New York Admirals how to really play hockey.

Summary
Shane was spiraling after screwing up during the game against Toronto, he'd given away two goals and punched out Dallas Kent of all people, the city's golden boy of hockey that many knew he was not. Instead of flying home and going down a negative spiral in his empty apartment alone he booked a flight to Boston. Shane showed up at Ilya's front door vibrating out of his skin as his mind sought to separate from his body and Ilya welcomed him with open arms.
