Hawks uses his feathers to retrieve Hitoshi’s belongings, shaking his head. “No one called me,” Hawks says quietly, and before that could settle into Hitoshi’s lungs, continues: “I was . . . taking a flight and saw you.”
Cold seeps into the soles of his feet. “O-oh.”
“What’s your name, kiddo?” questions Hawks as he helps Hitoshi into his shoes, likely not trusting the way Hitoshi’s limbs trembled. There’s still a feather nestled into his clothes. A sharp, grounding grasp against the fabric. Hawks’ smile twitches at the sight of Hitoshi’s note, but he doesn’t bring attention to it. “Shit, kid, I—how old are—?” Hawks cuts himself off, exhaling. It hitches. “Okay. Okay.”
It hits Hitoshi, suddenly, that Hawks, for all that he is the Number 2 Pro Hero, is barely twenty-two. Hitoshi, likewise, is barely sixteen.
When Hawks decided to indulge in a 3 AM craving, he didn’t expect the boy on the roof—and the boy clearly didn’t expect him, either.

Summary
While picking up Aizawa Shouta from a police station after his patrol, Shinsou Hitoshi gets hit with an age regression quirk, turning him into a four year-old with no memories of being adopted by Aizawa and Hizashi and leaving the two of them as the parents of a very confused and upset toddler.
As it turns out, Shinsou has the memories of his four year-old self and because of that, the memory of his birth father’s death is still fresh, as is the memory of being abandoned and put in foster care by the rest of his family.
Against all odds, Aizawa and Hizashi finally have a chance to make better childhood memories for him.

His vision wavered and warped. His hands grew cold and clammy. A metaphorical noose wrapped around his neck; itchy rope that prickled his skin. He struggled to breathe, oxygen squeezing out of his lungs, painstakingly, gleefully, as if his lungs took joy in his suffering every time he inhaled. No one seemed bothered by the way he wheezed out his breaths—or, rather, no one cared.
“I knew there was something amiss when they admitted you into our esteemed institution,” said the teacher leading the entire brigade, pulling Hitoshi out of his English class with an poorly concealed sneer twisting her mouth. “But I believe it will be rectified soon. You’ve shown your true colors, and for that, I am glad your poison won’t be around any longer.”
His fingers trembled, pressed against his lap. Two students—older, and in a different class—had accused him of brainwashing them a few days ago, forcing them to commit some crime that breached the student code of conduct. They contorted masks of terrified civilians who’d remained quiet in the face of his supposed evil when they stammered out an explanation.
Hitoshi thought U.A. was different. He should have known better by now.

Not too long after Hitoshi Shinso joined the infamous class, he starts to realize that the blonde isn't as much of an idiot as everyone first presumes. Instead, there seems to be an underlying layer to Kaminari that no one has ever questioned or bothered to investigate.
Or at least, that was the case. Things begin to take a spin the moment Shinso uncovers the blonde's untreated insomnia and clear ADHD.
