Natasha scooted towards Peter, her eyes on the rebar that she could now see gruesomely sticking out of his leg, blood coating the pole and pooled on the ground below him. Quickly untucking her shirt, she began ripping some strips off the bottom of it.
“Peter,” she started softly, looking up at him, “I’m going to try and stop the bleeding OK?” Peter glanced down at her and nodded. She could see the vein in the side of his neck pulsing, and wondered how long he could hold the concrete before it crushed them all. Quickly putting that thought out of her head, Natasha went to start wiping away the blood around his wound. Once she’d cleaned it as well as she could, she went to staunch the flow, then frowned, confused.
“Huh.”
“What?” Tony snapped, worried and stressed.
“He… It doesn’t look like he’s bleeding anymore.”
____OR, after an explosion brings down a building on top of them, Peter is the only thing between Tony, Natasha and certain death. Trapped under rubble together, well... nothing builds bonds like shared trauma.

Jason had gotten back yesterday in the middle of the night from his work trip; sliding into the sheets next to his Leo, pulling him into his arms, and promptly passing the fuck out. Now all Jason wants to do is have Leo cuddles and just be.
But Leo is busy today; Jason had gotten about an hour of awake sleeping Leo snuggles, twenty minutes of awake Leo ‘I missed you’s, and then his Leo needed to start his day.
It's incredibly unfair.

For a while, this is as close as they get to any sort of argument: Zoro growling at him like a rabid dog, deadlocked into a staring contest that Mihawk, for the first time, might actually lose.
Perona finally breaks the silence. "Urgh! I've had it with you--emotionally constipated sword freaks!" she fumes with a petulant stomp of her cherry boots. "Fine! If you two won’t talk about it, then I’ll do it for you!" She extends her hands. "Negative Hollow!"
Twin translucent specters erupt from her palms. Mihawk effortlessly swats away the pest -- but Zoro, only halfway to his mastery of haki and ambushed from his freshly-carved blind spot, is not quite so fortunate.
Zoro crumples to his hands and knees. “I don't deserve to have you as my father.”
Perona gasps. Zoro petrifies, and Mihawk thinks, distantly, that this is what it would feel like to take a sword to the chest.
“As your what?”

Not willing to give up his passion, he breaks into a dojo to train in secret. When the owner, Dracula Mihawk, discovers the talented boy, he decides to train him. When he learns the details of Zoro’s situation, he even decides to take the teen in.
Mihawk has made a terrible mistake. He had thought offering Roronoa a better option than a group home would be enough, but he quickly realizes the boy needs more help than the sword-master can offer. There is one person he could ask for help. Someone he hadn’t spoken to in a long time… But surely Shanks would be willing to help him, right?
