Summary
“They are wolves, Derek, wolves!”
“I know.”
“They—” Stiles choked and focused his gaze on the alpha. “W-what?”
Amidst the rubble, the groaning building, the wailing, and the scent of burning metal, Derek looked calm. The alpha ascended one step, closer to Stiles. “My love, listen to me—”
“What is going on?” Stiles’ throat dried.
“I said, listen.”
The omega’s mouth clamped shut, his lips trembling. The muscles in Derek’s jaw bulged as if he struggled to stay still.
“I am taking you hostage.”
Stiles’ chest stilled. His lips parted. He went completely stiff, watching Derek’s lips move, but the words made no sense.
“Derek…” he murmured hoarsely, shaking his head. “What…”
“I am not going to hurt you.” Derek’s voice went hard as steel. He spread his arms as if showing the lack of armor. “But you are coming with me. It is an order. Do you understand me?”
Stiles shifted his gaze from his mouth to his eyes and flinched back.
They were red. Burgundy, like the blood splatters marring his face.
And just like that, everything became clear.

Summary
Sometimes, Stiles thought about telling him. It wasn’t even a thought, but a fantasy of him kissing Derek first thing in the morning and kissing him goodnight, of not going into separate bedrooms after a tiring day. He dreamed of making that one step further and putting not only his chin on Derek’s shoulder when the wolf cooked breakfast, but his hands around Derek’s waist, dreamed of taking his hand and threading their fingers, dreamed of kisses and sex and shared life.
It wasn’t this young puppy love. It wasn’t lust, though it was there. It was a years-long, deep, chronic ache. Bittersweet. Overwhelming. Sometimes, it didn’t let Stiles breathe, and other times it was the only thing that made him do it.
Stiles’ confession would destroy them, but not Derek. Because Derek would get up and lift his chin again.
If the alpha was brave enough to cover Stiles’ body from an imminent threat, then maybe it was time for Stiles to get brave, as well. The wounds may never close, but if Derek rejected him… it wouldn’t matter.
Nothing ever would.

Summary
Moonlight caressed the pale skin, leaving kisses on each dot scattered over it. Wisps of crisp, winter air flickered the hair, playful like a child but cold like the fingers of a dead man.
“Come to me.”
Stiles tightened his hands on the window ledge so hard that the wood creaked. The collar of his white nightshirt flapped against his clavicles. His red eyes stared at the moon, unflinching.
“I am sick of waiting,” he grit out. “If you are mine, then come to me. Hear my call.”
The moon hung in the sky, white and silent.
Stiles’ eyes flickered once, twice, before settling into warm whiskey brown.

Summary
The nymph was the best prey Derek had ever had — evading him at every turn, yet teasing within reach. Here, in the middle of the lake, between crumbling ruins of the naiad’s temple, with Stiles pressed against him, Derek could taste the life again. He was as close to peace as it got. If only he could satisfy the heat in his lower parts, to turn his head and seal his lips against Stiles’ smile, to sink into him and make love, long and sweet, all night ‘till morning… If he could wake each day to Stiles lying next to him, maybe, then his soul would settle.
But now, even while breathing the same air, Derek did not have him at all.
Still, he kept coming. Fixing things, bringing things, pulling Stiles close until he stopped resisting. All creatures yearned for warmth, and Stiles, with his transparent clothes clinging to his slender, wet body was not an exception.

Summary
To think of it, anyone could walk in and take him. Anyone. And Stiles would let them. He would take their hand and go to god knows where with just a nod. The things they could have done to this creature… Who knew how many hands he would have passed before breaking apart?
It was a blessing, really, that Derek got to him first.

Summary
There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time update this and take a crack at finishing it. (Links and Images are in, the new Audio and Video tags are not.)
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.
