Sure, Shane could be a bit neurotic at times, maybe a little socially awkward, but he was Shane goddamn Hollander, and Rozanov should’ve been grateful for even just the opportunity to get to know him. Be with him. Yet there that bastard was, squandering his chance away.
There was no fucking way JJ was going to allow that.
He didn’t care how much of a womaniser that dude was. However straight he seemed to the rest of the world. If there was even a chance it could work out between them JJ was going to make. It. Happen.

Summary

“Why did you have to go and get traded?! You realise we’re going to have to see each other every day from now on, and play together, and-”
“Yes,” Ilya interrupted. He didn’t want to know how long Hollander’s list was. “I know.”
Hollander took a deep breath. “Okay, listen,” he said. “Just so we’re clear - we don’t know each other outside of playing against each other, right?”
