Somewhere along the way, the two women form a real connection with each other. Bonding over their mutual appreciation for art. Amongst other things. Admiration blossoms into beautiful friendship. Witch in turn makes way for...Something else. Entirely.

Shinobu knew very little about the demon that killed her older sister, except that they were a Kizuki.
When she stumbles across Upper Moon One, she is shocked by the utter shell of a woman she is, but also intends to get as much information as possible out of her. She definitely isn't the one who killed Kanae; she was too broken to manage something like that.
But something about Shinobu is able to breathe some life back into Tamayo, and a fragile care blooms between them.
Despite knowing it can't last forever, they can't help but seek each other out.
