Summary
Shane is in the hospital after being hit by Marlow. Ilya is not freaking out about his omega being hurt. And he's definitely not freaking out when Shane starts talking about nests and Ilya being involved with those nests. It's sweet and domestic in a way that Ilya knows he doesn't deserve, but he'll indulge in this, even if just for a few moments, before he's forced to walk away like always.

Summary
The Boston Raiders disappear from the afterparty one at a time. Rozanov never made it in the first place.
...
Ilya goes into rut at a charity scrimmage, and Shane has to figure out how to get him somewhere with a bed and plenty of extra sheets without drawing too many eyes. Even Shane himself tries to scrutinize the situation as little as possible, watching it in shadows and mirrors like Ilya's going to turn him to stone if Shane confronts the very real and very precarious position he's gotten himself into.

Summary
The second period was hell. Shane lost the face off again, almost getting knocked over in the process. His thoughts were barely cohesive anymore, his mind disconnected from reality. Shane's body screamed at him, every movement too much, his footing too unstable, his passes too sloppy. Too slow, too inaccurate, too weak. He knew he was letting his team down, he was failing them, he needed to be better, he was an undeserving captain, if he could just pull himself together…
Fucking pathetic.
A Boston player pushed him into the boards.
Shane's knees gave way underneath him and he went down. He felt winded, his lungs struggling to get oxygen into his system.
Everything felt wrong, wrong, wrong.
He needed to get up, get moving, score goals and lead his team, but he just couldn't find the strength.
People shouted, their voices too loud. Hands reached for him, moved him onto his back, and Shane wished they would let him go. They were not right, they were not…
…Ilya.
OR
Shane has the worst day of his life, the stress and anxiety causing him to go into heat during a game against Boston. Luckily, Ilya is there to take care of him.

Summary
“I-I know we didn’t…” He suppresses a groan as Ilya moves his hips, thrusting up into him now. “But I need… they need…”
Ilya growls, caught off guard from Shane’s choice of word. “They?”
Shane presents his neck again, reaching behind with his hand to gesture at his nape, glancing behind his shoulder into Ilya’s eyes.
“They need to know I belong to you. And you belong to me.” His finger brushes at his nape, right where the perfect mark of Ilya Rozanov’s bite will be. “I want a more worthy trophy that I can carry.”
