”I’m sorry,” he choked, knowing just how many things it was for.
”Never be,” Olly replied, not even knowing what sins he was forgiving.
“Not for crying,” he tried to clarify, grasping the wrist Olly was using to wipe his tears.
”I know,” Olly reassured, still not moving his palm from Qifrey’s cheek.
”For so much more,” he fought, not knowing why he was taking it this far when finally Olly wasn’t asking.
”You don’t give me enough credit.” Olly’s thumb stroked small repetitions on his skin.
“I don’t,” Qifrey finally sobbed. “I don’t give you enough credit or trust or love or any of those things that you deserve all and more of.”
It’s late and Quifrey can’t sleep.
