    Summary

Three years ago, everyone forgot Peter Parker.

    Well... almost everyone.

Jean Grey remembers the strange wave of energy that swept through the world that night, but she never figured out what caused it. Three years later, she feels that same energy again.

This time, it belongs to a very tired, very secretive college student who apparently has no idea why a red-haired girl keeps staring at him.

Peter has university, an internship with Dr. Otto Octavius, and the small matter of being Spider-Man. Jean has her own problems, a missing sister, college, and a growing suspicion that Peter Parker is hiding something very weird.

Somewhere between coffee, late-night studying, questionable movie recommendations, and one very persistent mystery, they become friends.

    And then things get complicated.

    Very, very complicated. ♡

    Summary

After the events that nearly killed Peter, Jean Grey left a door open in her mind she cannot fully close. The psychic link is mild, one-way, and deeply inconvenient. Distance makes her powers slip in small, frustrating ways. Proximity settles them.

She keeps trying to board the bus north.

He keeps being the reason she doesn’t.

    Summary

Following the events of Brand New Day, Peter slowly heals first his body and then the tatters of his old life. He gets by, though, with the help of a few new friends.

Or, Jean Grey worries in ways only a telepath with questionable boundaries can.

she laughed and looked up at the sky briefly "no." she answered, shifting her weight "not really my style."
