Summary
It became a bit of an unspoken routine. Steve would leave home, earlier than he’d gotten used to, meet Eddie, they’d talk for a little- sometimes drink- sometimes smoke- one or two times Eddie had brought some weed. Then, the conversation would end, usually somewhat abruptly, and they’d go their separate ways.
Steve felt weirdly at peace during their nightly meet-ups, they were becoming- dare he think it- close.

Summary
After Vecna is defeated, Eddie is saved and taken to the hospital to recover, once he's allowed to go back home he's still needed for check ups which causes Steve to offer up his services to Eddie and drives him once a week to and from his appointments. Now with a happier and healthier Eddie in need of a job, Steve manages to get him a job at the family video store (with help from Robin) and receives a reward in return. The two's unlikely friendship soon turns into more as they continue to grow closer.

Summary
Eddie Munson is dead. The bats really did kill him. It's been 3 years since he died and the only toll its taken on Steve has been helping Dustin through it, as bad as that sounds.
Robin and Steve got a house together, doing their best to live their lives. Then one evening, Robin is late coming home from work. Steve is ready to head out and find her, when she shows up with Dustin, dragging a very alive Eddie Munson behind them.

Summary
Eddie Munson and healing properly from trauma are not two things casually roped together into a sentence. He doesn't sleep, he doesn't socialize beyond what he absolutely has to, and he definitely doesn't talk about what's going on. Which is fairly difficult when two people he considered work colleagues during his one time job of saving the world start to consider themselves his closest friends. And technically, seeing as he has no other friends at the moment, he's not completely against their constant efforts to get closer with him, but he is completely against the way Steve's hair falls over his eyes when he tilts his head to the side to look directly into Eddie's eyes.
It's obscene. And Eddie will not stand for it.
He's going to continue to barely live his life while working at the tattoo shop next door to where Robin and Steve work, and if he has to see them every once in a while then so be it. Steve Harrington is the straightest guy Eddie's ever seen, so he shouldn't be hard to resist. Right?
