Summary
A choked out sob released from Lloyd's aching lungs as he's called 'kid'. He's sixteen, and even though that's technically still a kid, he hasn't been one for some while now. He lost his childhood the moment he became the green ninja. Kai's only a few years older, barely an adult, but he knows what it's like to grow up too fast. And Kai seems to be the only one to see Lloyd for what he really is, a child in soldier's armor.
Lloyd is overwhelmed by the guilt and pressure of being the green ninja. His big brother, Kai, helps him calm down.

Summary
Buck returns from a special assignment in San Francisco to find that he's been teamed up with the new guy: Eddie Diaz. Eddie immediately throws him off balance, and Buck struggles to control his attraction while remaining convinced that he should never date again.
On their first patrol, Bobby sends them to the Shadowmarket in search of a mysterious poisoner, and a chance encounter with a Faerie leads them down a strange path toward…dating...each other. Because somehow, for some reason, he has to date the hottest guy he's ever seen to solve this mystery. Just great.

Which, you know, it’s always a rather grueling matter to try and stop something from happening; Buck would know by now. Plans like that are pretty much always doomed right from the start—so really, in the grand scheme of things, he isn’t to be blamed for anything.
For the most part, at least.
