Merlin feels the warmth of the drink in his throat and in belly. His tongue, heavy and thick in his mouth.
Arthur grins at him and it's soft around the edges. Warm and fuzzy. Merlin forgets what he was even concerned about.
The rest of the night becomes a bit of a blur.

“My wedding,” Arthur clarified. Uther nodded, gathering up some scrolls and beginning to walk towards the exit, done with the two boys. “Who am I marrying again, Father?” Arthur called after Uther. Merlin was a little surprised that Arthur didn’t even know this.
“Merlin, you fool,” was all that Uther said, striding calmly from the room.

“Not exactly sure, but well, want to find out?” Merlin asked, giving Arthur a kiss and taking them from him.
Arthur grinned into the kiss.
“I was hoping you’d say that. In fact, I think I might have a few ideas we could try…”
Merlin fingered the silicone beads, wondering what they would feel like as Arthur slowly fed them in, one by one. He assumed that’s what you were supposed to do.
