“please stop,” jungkook says, pinching the bridge of his nose. “i was just - doing my job.”
“i thought you didn’t like him,” jimin adds a minute later, when jungkook thought it was all over and done with - taehyung had already begun to talk about another subject, like how they’re expecting the new batch of residents soon and seokjin is already not looking forward to it (“he has his neck pillow out - you know if seokjin, perfect kim seokjin, is feeling the cramps - it’s time for the babies.”). “dr. min, i mean.”
taehyung abruptly shuts up and gives jungkook laser eyes.
“we always work with people we don’t like,” he starts defensively. “that makes me no different. i’m professional. super professional. stop looking at me, you’re creepy.”

The Doorman is favored and recommended by many. Located within walking distance from both the university and the corporate district, it’s the public house where happy hour is always busy.
The bartender is young and handsome, friendly though quiet, and mixes a wild Old Fashioned. He often leans on the counter, chatting with a customer, with a full sleeve of ink on display. It’s for his sake that Taehyung has been frequenting the bar, every Friday, for almost two years.

THE BUSAN BUTCHER STRIKES AGAIN
“You moved from Busan just in time, Jungkookie,” Hobi assures, gaze drifting over to the youngest. “Since that serial killer guy is on the loose there.”
“Serial killer? My mom hasn't mentioned anything about that.” Jimin swishes around the soju in his glass.
“Yeah, five bodies in the last year. All of them decapitated. They gave him a catchy English name… The uh, Busan Badguy? The Busan…”
“The Busan Butcher” comes Jungkook’s steely correction, his long fingers gripping the liquor bottle in his hands exceptionally tight.
Jimin can't help but remember the night he saw those fingers coated in blood. His gaze wanders up to Jungkook’s face and the younger stares right back, eyes like tar.
Jimin is playing with a fire he doesn't know how to put out.
