Summary
Life doesn't always work out the way we think it will, and Eve Gilbert knows that better than most. It's full of twists and turns, a lot of them dark, especially for a vampire hunter. It's easy to get lost, and harder to find the right path when your only guides are vampires, harder still when the one person you were supposed to protect becomes one. A shifting of priorities might be required, or maybe that already started a long time ago. Well if they did, then it was all thanks to Damon and her other close friends. The list might be small, but she does have one, and Elena may or may not be on it anymore.

This was NOT part of the plan. I was supposed to wake up after brain surgery and get better so I could do all the things my mom and I had been dreaming about for years. Like going to college, making friends, and traveling the world. I was NOT supposed to end up in the Twilight universe inside of Bella fucking Swan's body.
Two months in and I can't avoid going to Forks. Renee is catching on too quickly. It's impossible to act in character all the time, especially since Bella's personality and mine are... not comparable...
In a world of mythos, magic, and monsters, there has to be a way to get back to my world, right? Bella's fate was bound to be tangled in with the supernatural anyway, so no harm no foul. That's what I foolishly believed.
The last thing I ever expected to find family with the Cullens...or to perhaps fall in love with a man who wasn't meant for me. What will happen if I wake up? What will happen if I never wake up?
And how do I even begin to explain the difference between 'Bella' and ME?

Diana sat on her couch, covered in silk and laces. She was dressed for bed, but her unyielding purple eyes and straight posture told otherwise. She had seen it, the anger boiling over. It was just like before when they were still naive children prancing around with wooden sticks, playing with brooms, and reading books filled with fairy tales. Six years have passed, wooden sticks became lethal weapons, brooms became means of escape, and books were precious mines of jeweled intelligence. But the consistency of Draco Malfoy's anger remained.
His dark grey eyes glared menacingly through the moonlight seeping down through the windows. They were focused on one point, one person.
