Summary
In a world still celebrating that the y2k bug did not, miraculously, instigate the complete collapse of civilization, Keith Kogane once again finds himself navigating the glittery, plastic society of Hollywood as golden actor Takashi Shirogane's far less likable younger brother. He's become used to the paparazzi, talk shows, and horrifically low-cut denim of his current surroundings, but he can't quite find it in himself to allow annoying newcomer Lance McClain to schmooze his way into mentorship by Shiro as many others have done.
Lance is nothing if not persistent, however, and he slowly carves his way into Keith's life and heart despite Keith's best efforts. Keith is well aware of the public scrutiny and cruelty that comes with being openly gay, and has vowed to avoid living through that at all costs—but how can he fall in love when he's not allowed to show it? Can a restricted but safe love truly be a replacement for an open one?
Or is there, just maybe, a chance that this new millennium can hold a space for even an incredibly public relationship between people like Keith and Lance?

Lance’s smile widens. He leans forward, and the prickling in Keith’s chest gives way to butterflies, fluttering wildly in his stomach, and oh wow has Lance always had this many freckles, has he always had eyelashes that long, has he—
Lance pokes his cheek, right over the Galra mark. Keith blinks.
“I can’t believe you and your mom have matching face tattoos now,” he says, and it’s so fucking dumb, but it’s exactly the kind of dumb thing Keith has longed to hear, and before he knows what he’s doing he’s surging forward, almost knocking Lance back against Red’s paw, and throwing his arms around him.
In which Keith lives on a space whale, goes on a road trip, and (eventually) gets a boyfriend.

Summary
Lance gave up the chance to make a difference by giving up the Red Lion. He gave up his chance to be a hero. What he wants now is just to go home. He'll protect Earth and his family from the Galra as best he can when he gets there. That's his top priority now.
And sure, he stole the opportunity to make this decision from Keith, and maybe that's not fair.
But whatever. If Keith was going to make the wrong choice, Lance wasn't going to give him one.

Summary
Following the events of My Oh My, we pick up with Lance and Keith as they traverse their new terrain.
Lance was left a mess after their 'split'. He's going out every night, drinking and having countless one night stands. He's ignoring school and his so-called friends; what does it matter if he graduates at this point? But most of all, he tries to avoid all thoughts of Keith and their final week together. Lance knows he's acting exactly like him and yet he can't find it in him to care. Afterall, if you can't beat them, join them right?
As for Keith...well he's not doing too well either. The end of their...whatever it was, left him more than confused about his feelings and life in general. He can't seem to go about life as easily as he once did. He finds it nearly impossible to fall into old (and admittedly unhealthy) habits and he think it may be time to face what's been haunting him all his life. Maybe then he can begin to move forward...
Now we get to see how these two boys recover, from each other and from their past.
