Piper didn’t even realize she and Jason were moving until she was pulling Leo into a kiss.
He made a noise of surprise before eagerly kissing back, Jason making his way to sit behind Leo and licking a stripe up his neck.
“Let us make it up to you.” Piper murmured when she finally pulled away.
Leo’s eyes were slightly hazy and he was breathing hard, but he responded “you- you don’t have too..”
“Too late, we want too.” Jason said, pulling Leo’s chin to turn around and kiss him.

“You called her Em, right?” Jason asked, apparently eager to get a good grade in uncle. “What's that short for?”
“Technically, her name isn’t officially anything yet,” Piper told them, wiggling into a more comfortable sitting position. “But we’d like to name her Emilia, if Leo is okay with it.”
“Huh?” Leo looked from Piper to Reyna to the baby in utter confusion. “She’s your child. Why would you need my permission to name her anything?”
Piper quirked her eyebrows at him like the answer should be obvious.
The gears in his head ground to an abrupt halt. His vision started swimming with tears.“You want to name your kid after me?”

Summary
Leo Valdez has lived and died for the gods. Their war has shaped his life since he was a baby. With Gaia defeated, he sort of hopes he can finally rest. He has friends and some semblance of home to return to for the first time since he was eight years old. Just this once, he allows himself to hope the good things might stick.
But the gods aren’t done with them just yet, and by the time Leo finds his way back, Jason is gone.
This time, Leo decides he’s done just taking the Fates’ bullshit lying down. If getting his best friend back means striking a deal with the gods and venturing into the Underworld… well, it’s probably not even the most reckless thing he’s ever done.
The caveat of said deal? He has to trust Jason will follow him, or his self-doubt will doom them both.
And after the life he’s lived, Leo is so intricately familiar with self-doubt that he could probably trademark the word.
