    Small whimpers and quiet gasps cut the otherwise silent room as he cried, baby blues trained on the small tooth in his lap. The fox felt around his mouth with his tongue, the tip of it finding and stopping in the large gap.

    His front left tooth was gone. 

    Suddenly, Tails' cries grew louder. He was going to look like an idiot, forever. 

     

    Or: Tails loses his first tooth in an... unconventional way. On accident. He also doesn't realize that losing baby teeth is normal.
