Summary
Nai chooses the bait. He wants Vash back, and he's not giving up this time. It's been too long and he knows he's in the right.
Vash just wants to live peacefully. Alone. He wants to stop getting chased and shot at and attacked. (Deep down, he wants to live alongside humans, with them. He knows he is being too idealistic.) So alone it is.
Unstoppable force meets immovable object, and Nicholas D. Wolfwood finds himself in the middle of it all.
Maybe this time it will all have a happier ending.

Summary
Wolfwood could bear a lot of things, but cold wasn’t something he was accustomed to. Still, the plan was to drive straight through. The last of the suns had set a while ago, but town was only a few hours out. It was hardly worth stopping at this point.

Knives stared at his Punisher, questionably alive, with dirt and blood under his nails from digging himself free. Stared back out where he knew his penthouse was. He had ownership of the basement. Half the building, really.
Never let it be said that Knives Saverem could not think on his feet. He could make the most of this.
“You are 𝘴𝘰 lucky,” Knives hissed, storming over and grabbing the Punisher by the back of his flimsy, barely-held-together clothes, “that I am a 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘭.”

Despite Knives' wishes, he's been forcibly domesticated. Even worse, his brother has been grieving a dead man for a hundred years straight. Nevertheless, he could handle it...if his sisters hadn't gone and 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥.
Suppose he could try and learn a few things out of the experience. Vash didn’t need to know his human was alive just yet, after all.
