Grimoire Weiss falls for Nier somehow. He doesn't understand how he ended up here, but this realization is something that he will take to his grave. Unfortunately for him, Kainé and Emil share some sort of sentiment when it comes to the grown up Nier.
The downfall? Nier won't ever consider them as romantic interests. Not when he is focused on rescuing Yonah from the Shadowlord. It won't stop them from finding time on their journey to fall for Nier a little more, in their own ways. And, of course, they'll take these affections to their graves so then Nier can focus on what matters most.
A small exploration on the way Weiss, Emil, and Kainé view their group and Nier specifically while in the second half of the game. The focus is mostly on Weiss, but Emil and Kainé also have sprinklings in this as well.
