You watch the radiance of his necklace shift as he moves, his silver dog tag still catching light as the red gem glows like a soft heartbeat. He follows your stare while moving to brush his fingers over the pendant thoughtfully.
“I kept holding it last night,” he admits quietly. “It helps me. Reminds me of you.”
You swallow, suddenly getting warmer at his confession.
“I’m glad you like it,” you whisper.
“I don’t just like it,” he continues with the same sincerity. “It just feels… important.” He hesitates, searching for the right words. “Like something that keeps me here. Like I’m where I belong, right by your side.”
After offering Caleb, a runaway dog hybrid, a place to live, he becomes much more than just a roommate.

Summary
I honestly don’t know what to write here but I wanted to explore the gold liquid of eternal youth more with an MC who adjusts to the serum better than expected. She’s detained against her will by the RDA to be studied but miraculously gets away in the middle of the war between the Sky People and the Na’vi. She is saved by Lo’ak and struggles to reveal the truth to him.
Also this plot is an excuse for me to write slow burn alien smut so if I got a few things wrong pls ignore it’s not the point any way.
