“Benn shot half of them because you were drunk.”
“What? How do you know that! Benn, you swore to secrecy!”
“I didn’t tell him Captain.”
“Luffy who told you that?”
Luffy points to the shore. “She did.”
The Ocean’s voice snickers and Luffy mirrors it as the Captain looks between the waters lapping playfully at the shore and the kid with the grin like his captain.
It’s a funny look, the kind men get when they see a tsunami bearing down on their head with no hope of escape. The face goes pale and the eyes go wide, and nothing save for the ocean has quite managed to produce this look.
The Ocean is most definitely pleased with her child.
“Oh hell.” The sailor swears, and she nods her head in agreement.
Oh Hell indeed– but he will bring that and more.

Summary
They were inches apart, Zoro wanted to kiss him, hold him close, say his name, cry into his shoulder. Luffy seems to understand this, hand slowly reaching up to his shoulder, traveling down the length of his arm, before his fingers slip in between Zoro’s. He still doesn’t speak, and Zoro feels all the words he’d been preparing for the past two years dying in his throat in a small, strangled sound.
Luffy tugs on their entwined hands, and Zoro feels himself being pulled inside. He watches the iridescent world fade away as they pass through the doors, and Zoro tears his eyes away to stare at Luffy’s back.
He said he would take care of booking the room, and Zoro was thankful. He didn’t want to have his first exchange with Luffy in two years in front of strangers at a hotel. He wanted to lock himself away with Luffy, make up for all the lost days in one night.

The bickering continues. Nami takes a sip of her drink, lips curling in amusement. They really are naive. And Nami can’t help but take advantage of the naive: especially when there’s beli to be made.
“I think we should make this interesting,” Nami announces. “Since you guys can’t agree, let’s have a friendly bet. Everyone puts in and whoever’s right gets the pot.” All of them glance around at each other before back at Nami. She smiles at them. “If you’re going to fight about it, at least make it interesting.”(or, Luffy and Zoro have been married for years. But, with all that beli on the line, Nami isn't about to tell the rest of their nakama that)
