Summary
Very creative title /s. Basically I just wanted to write sort of a re-telling/extension of Season 2 episodes 8 to 12 (though I skip Li Tianchen's and Li Tianxi's backstory as well as Qian Jin's backstory). I wanted to show them mostly from Lu Guang's perspective, since we don't really get to in the actual episodes and even the parts where he is on-screen we don't really get to hear his thoughts. Plus with the major revelation in the last episode, I just had to write Lu Guang's perspective! Major spoilers ahead so don't read if you finished the donghua yet (unless you don't care about spoilers then go ahead lol). That being said I did write a chapter from Cheng Xiaoshi's perspective (when he takes control of Lu Guang) and added in a few of my own details, and I wrote some of his thoughts throughout the rest of the fic as well. Mostly Lu Guang-centric though. Also mostly canon-compliant, or at least I tried lol, along with some of my own speculation and headcanons about how their abilities work. Tried to keep everyone in character, don't know if I succeeded lol. What else...? I wrote Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi as close friends/found family but you guys are more than welcome to interpret it as romantic too.
