Summary
Someone told Jisung once that in the event of an emergency, a person should always know a lawyer, a doctor, and a trustworthy mechanic. Well, his friend Seungmin is in school to be a lawyer, his cousin Hwasa is a cardiologist, and he does, in fact, have a business card for a mechanic.
But not just any mechanic. No.
In his possession, Jisung holds the business card for the hottest mechanic who ever rolled in grease, with muscles, tattoos, and purple hair. But he has one teeny tiny problem. A brand new car with nothing wrong with it. What is a desperate gay with dreams of having sex on the hood of his car to do?
Well, if it isn't broke and won't be broke anytime soon... break it yourself.
********
Lifting the hood, Jisung’s eyes expand, and his phone clatters to the ground. “Ahhh! Jinnie!”
“What? What’s wrong!?!”
Shrill shouts of alarm come from his phone as he stares at the empty space where the engine should be. Hands shaking, he picks up his iPhone. “S-someone stole my engine! It’s gone! There’s nothing but a tire here!”
“WHAT!!”

Summary
He steps onto the ballroom floor without hesitation, the crowd parting for him as if he had commanded them to. Jisung notices he’s not much taller than he is, and then he stops, right in front of him.
Those eyes, dark as swirling pools of ink and framed by long lashes, hold his.
The space between them is charged.
The man inclines his head slowly, just enough to acknowledge him, and then extends a hand.
It’s gloved in black and perfectly steady.
He’s offering a dance.
And unlike what Jisung expected, his voice is soft, almost lyrical, with a warmth that wraps around each word.
“Care to dance?”

Summary
There’s an art to wanting what you cannot have.
Minho learned it at sixteen when he swore an oath that promised him purpose but demanded everything else. Ten years of service. Ten years of distance. Ten years of watching and wanting and never, ever reaching.
Jisung learned it at twenty-one when he discovered the truth—that the person who’s been three steps behind him for a decade has been bound by rules that forbid the very thing Jisung has started to crave.
Or: a bodyguard with an oath he can’t break falls for a prince who’s determined to make him break it anyway.

Summary
The ballet dancer’s soft voice breaks through the buzzing black and white static that fills Jisung’s mind.
“Hello.”
“Ahh–” Jisung stumbles over himself for a moment, chewing his lip to get himself in order. “I’m Han Jisung, born in 2000. It's nice to meet you.”
Well. Shit. As if he needed anymore proof of how limited his ‘gift with words’ truly was. He shouldn’t have left the house, he clearly can’t be in society.
The dancer’s face lights up in amusement. “Wow, so formal and polite. I’m Minho.”
Minho’s smirk shifts again like mercury.
No, Jisung corrects himself, Minho feels too assured to be quicksilver.
It’s like the seasons. Like the spring melt. A change that brings relief. A shift so steady it feels stablising

Summary
"Peaches," he says. His voice is soft and unexpectedly gentle. "You brought me peaches."
"Um. Yes?" Jisung winces inside. Why did he say it like a question?
"Beautiful," the man whispers, eyes locked on Jisung, but then they flick back down to the peaches. "The peaches; they're beautiful.
