It should feel like a happy ending. Instead it feels like a beginning - equal parts exciting and terrifying. Because now that they’ve solved what they always thought was their biggest problem - admitting how they actually feel about each other - they have to face real life: the years of unresolved hurt and misunderstandings, the very real mental health struggles that don’t disappear just because you’re deliriously happy, and the logistics of a life split across two continents.
