Honestly, he’s not even angry anymore, just in awe of this creature’s ignorance. “You would follow me into a dark cavern, without any allies? You do not know who I am! For all you know, I could be a mass murderer.” He leaves out the part where he mentions that he technically IS a mass murderer.
Either the… pink orb, or whatever it is, is incredibly foolish, or it can tell how weakened Nightmare already is. “Yup! No offense, but I’ve faced people with way worse vibes than you.” It exclaims cheerfully. “I’m Kirby, by the way! Nice to meet you!”
Nightmare takes offense at this. His vibes are perfectly terrifying, thank you very much!
OR:
Nightmare makes mistakes and ends up in Dreamland, of all places.
It’s the ‘protector of AU’s’ fault, of course, as always. Stars dammit, Ink!Series
