Summary
It's Christmastime in the vague and undefined lands of Vhartiva, which also might be the name of a city. There in that place lives an unassuming man, a cobbler by trade. He makes his living fixing shoes, seeing people's stories inscribed in their soles when they come to him for repairs. He spends his days wondering if there is something more out there for him. On an unassuming winter's day, he is surprised when he runs into an old friend: a kobold he hasn't seen in some time. They were best friends in their childhood, but their lives went in different directions. Could this chance encounter change all of that in one night? Could she be the very thing that has been missing from his life? Or did I lie in the tags and they just stay good friends? Check out the story if you want to know so bad.

Update 10/16/21
Lots of small changes across the board to improve clarity, tone, and readability. I added a couple sections of self reflection for Anon so hopefully the romance plot comes off as more coherent and expanded a section starting at "As you stare out of the tent you can’t help but notice" which now also includes a stargazing scene. About 900 more words than the WIP but if you read it previously you're not missing out on anything major. I know it's not perfect but I'm going to go ahead and call this one done as I move onto other things.Update 03/03/22
