El tan famoso Gamma Jack, mejor conocido como Guapo Jack es suspendido por unas semanas de su trabajo de super; es suspendido por asesinar a unos de los villanos más peligroso de esos momentos(lo cual no comprende ya que considera que fue un bien mayor) se le suspende para evitar que la gente quiera demandar a la NSA por no controlar a su gente.
Al quedarse sin trabajo temporalmente (lo cual le preocupa porque es literalmente su único ingreso de dinero) decide hacer varias entrevistas para aplicar en alguno de los aburridos trabajos que hay. Lo que no esperaba era aplicar como secretario en uno de los bufetes de abogados más conocidos por su famoso abogado defensor de los super Simón J. Paladino, sin duda fue una sorpresa. Más aún cuando se enteró que sería secretario de ese guapo abogado.

Well, to say that it was a great deal of problems was an obfuscation. Objectively, it was just one problem; or, more precisely, one man causing many problems.
Gamma Jack.
His archnemesis, who was complicating his life in ways that he couldn't solve. This problem becomes incredibly more complex as when he critically injures the villain in a fight, he takes it upon himself to care for the man until he is well enough to not immediately die upon his arrival in jail.
That is, until Frozone tells Gazerbeam the story of how Blazestone became a hero. She was initially a villain, until she dated Frozone, and he was able to convince her to reform.
With Simon's acute people skills, and Jack's willingness to open his legs for anyone, it should be easy for Gazerbeam to do the same as Frozone. He can solve his problem with ease. Just date supervillain and personal archnemesis, Gamma Jack, convince him to become a Super, and then break up with him. Easy, right?
