“This is absurd. Surely there’s someone more qualified to tutor this imp,” Stolas continued.
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” Blitzø said in a mocking falsetto, “is my little imp ass too uncultured for your royal tutoring standards?”
“I just meant I’m not trained for remedial cases.”
Blitzø slammed his hand on the desk. “Say that again, you fucking pencil neck–”
“Enough.” Principal Morningstar stood up. “I don’t care if you two can’t stand each other. Blitzø needs help. Stolas, your father agreed to this arrangement. Consider it extra credit. And Blitzø, if you walk out of here without agreeing, you’re off the team.”
Stolas shot Blitzø a disdainful glance, his arms crossed tightly. Blitzø, meanwhile, looked like he was trying to melt a hole through the floor with his glare.
“Fine,” they said in unison, then promptly scowled at each other.

Summary
The days turned into weeks, and Howard's behavior grew more pronounced. He was always touching Randy, finding excuses to be near him, to be close to him. It was as if he couldn't stand the thought of anyone else claiming even an inch of Randy's personal space. Randy felt like he was walking on eggshells, trying to balance the line between best friend and...something more. He didn't know if Howard was even capable of feeling the same way. And what if he didn't? What if he was just reading too much into it?

"You're fucking crazy," Howard said, his voice tight with tension. He forced a laugh, trying to play it off, but Randy could see the fear in his eyes. It was a look that mirrored his own, a look that said, "We're fucked."
"Oh, come on, Howard," Debbie said, her voice like a knife slicing through the air. "You can't actually think I'm that stupid?" She sighed, looking irritated by his stubbornness. "I've been asking around all week. Julian even said he saw you two making out in the hallway."
The cafeteria fell silent, all eyes on them. Julian's gaze flicked to them, his eyes wide with shock. It was as if the ground had opened up beneath their feet, swallowing them whole. Randy felt his heart stop, the blood roaring in his ears. He knew this moment was coming, had feared it every day, but he had never truly believed it would happen like this.

Summary
Dude, you're gonna love this," Randy said, grinning ear to ear as he booted up his latest video game. "It's got, like, ninjas and robots and... and... everything!" Howard, his best friend, rolled his eyes playfully from the couch. "Everything, huh?"
They were in Randy's basement, the epicenter of their after-school hangouts. Posters of their favorite movies and comic book heroes adorned the walls, the smell of stale popcorn lingering from their last marathon. The room was dimly lit, the glow of the TV screen dancing across Howard's glasses as he leaned in, curiosity piqued despite his feigned skepticism. He couldn't help but steal glances at Randy, his mind racing with thoughts he'd been trying to suppress. The way Randy's shirt clung to his torso as he stretched to grab a controller, the way his jeans hugged his hips when he bent over, it was all so... distracting.

Summary
Jimmy is sitting in the learning center when a bag slams down on the table in front of. Dust and dirt fall from the backpack to the wood of the desk. Frowning, Jimmy moves the papers away.
“Oh,” Comes from the mouth of an uncharacteristically worried Nick Dean. The usual, half-lidded expression of his is replaced with something harsher, tenser. “It’s you.”
It’s even weirder to see him *here* of all places, a learning center. Jimmy hasn’t seen Nick in awhile. He’s almost certain that Nick’s the type to play hooky or skip out on assignments, projects, tests, which only makes it even stranger that he decided to come *here,* to a tutoring center.
“What are you doing here?” Jimmy asks, confused.
“What is everyone here for?” Nick grumbles, taking a seat.
Nick and Jimmy tutor each other (in more than one subject) during their highschool years.
