    While out running errands around Crestwood with Solas, Dorian, and the Iron Bull; Inquisitor Lavellan is hit by an unexpected truth spell that suddenly has her spilling her guts any time someone asks a question. This would be less of a problem if she wasn't the polite, diplomatic leader of an ever-growing organization, who now can't hold anything back. Or if she wasn't trying to stay subtle about the muddle of her emotions about one of her companions in particular.

     

    Going through my old WIPs and found this almost fully completed, but I never posted it I guess. Dusting it off now to clear out my in-progress folder a bit before Veilguard comes out. This won't be very long, maybe 4-5 chapters, and more on the silly/fun side.

    They both finally get what they want:

    Lavellan manages to stop Solas, without killing him.
    He gets to know she will live forever without fading away, as the elves were meant to.
    They are together, and it is the worst possible thing that could happen to either of them, and now they will have to live with it forever.

     

    There are no Veilguard spoilers in this beyond "Solas is there", as I haven't even watched all the promo material for the game's release myself. I have instead imagined my own scenario where Lavellan is a part of the final battle to try to stop Solas as he finally goes to tear down the Veil (for real this time. again). Based on what we know of Veilguard this situation is already not going to be canon in any shape, but I wanted to get this piece out of my system before we’re locked into a new plot framework I feel the need to work within.

    I asked myself: what is the absolute worst case ending that could happen for Lavellan and Solas? And this is what I came up with.

    After Solas wakes up, he has many conversations with a variety of spirits. Sometimes they tell him what he wants to hear, and sometimes they don't.

     

    I wrote this piece for the Solamancy charity zine last fall, and am happy to share it with you here now :) The formatting is a little less hard to read in a narrower browser window, as I designed it for booklet page proportions. On phone screen it will be kind of fucked up even in horizontal mode so sorry bout that and good luck!

    Hawke was left in the Fade to defeat Nightmare’s spider demon--but survives. She must fight her way back through the Veil to the physical world, but the experience has affected her greatly both physically and mentally. Haunted by what happened, she must learn to cope with everything she has faced, and the effects she still suffers. Fenris (her LI) comes to Skyhold to help, and other Inquisition members do their best as well.

    Lots of angst for now, but eventual happy (or at least, happier) ending.

    this isnt even pwp at this point, it's just straight-up shame-filled (on my part) porn. what can i say its NaNoWriMo and i have had to write a Bunch of words this month. this is the most iffy thing ive ever posted content wise and i tagged it but please read the prompt if you're concerned about potential triggers etc. definitely no non-con but there is background dub con, and solas' usual amount of secrecy.

    Fenris leaves town for a few days while Hawke deals with business in Kirkwall. One night at The Hanged Man, while she and the rest of the gang recover after a hard day and wait for him to return, a small grey cat saunters in. And the bright white markings on its fur look extremely familiar.

    (so does the way he takes a swipe at Anders, and purrs whenever Hawke looks at him).

     

    Takes place (mostly) after the quest Following the Qun. Title is a spin off one of Anders lines--if you romance Fenris, he warns you that he seems "Less a man to me than a wild dog."

    Posting this here in chapters but it's pretty much finished already--this will be a short one.

    The Elves have lost almost all of their ancient culture. They cling to what fragments remain, teaching themselves a language they can never hope to completely recover. Elvish is already a dialect based largely on the intent of the words spoken—and it is doubly so now that there are so few words to chose from.
    This is a super short exploration of some of the different ways Lavellan attempts to express what she feels with so limited a palate, when her emotions are too important for the common tongue (as opposed to Solas, who has mastery of the language but knows no one else is left who might understand him).

    Some fluff + some pain + I guess technically there is sex, but it's not really... explicit sex.

    Translations for Elvish phrases in the end notes, although most of it is fairly straightforward/from the game.

    This is the second attempt I've ever made at fanfic so criticism is very welcome but please be gentle with me ;_;
