"So? Do you have plans for Valentine's Day?" Sunoo asked, tease dripping in his tone.
Seeing Jake’s cheeks full of the food and inability to answer, Sunghoon chuckled before turning towards his friends to answer, "No, we don't have anything planned.”
"...Yet?" Jungwon finished in confusion.
“No, actually we’re not doing anything at all.”
In seconds, a pretty unusual silence invaded the whole table of friends.
Then Jake processed what his boyfriend just said. A laugh rumbled in his chest before exploding and soon the rest of the table followed.
“You’re so stupid Hoonie.” He said after catching his breath and take a sip of his water, “I almost believed you for a second.”
“I’m serious, though.”
“What?!” the whole table said at the same time except for Jake, who froze. Surely, his boyfriend couldn’t be serious.
OR:
Jake loves his boyfriend Sunghoon (no matter how much trouble the other has to say it back) and has been waiting their first Valentine's day together for so long.
So, when he learns that Sunghoon hates that holiday, things take a weird turn.
Especially after he starts receiving gifts in his locker from a secret admirer.Series

it’s supposed to be routine by now, the same familiar script they’ve fallen into without thinking. two friends sharing a bed again, the quiet hush of a room long past midnight, half-awake warmth pressed between blankets, soft laughter breathing into the dark. jake talking about physics at 2 a.m., voice lazy with sleep and enthusiasm, sunghoon listening not because he understands, but because it’s jake, and that’s reason enough. they’ve done this before, nights blurring into memories, and it has always been nothing more than comfort. dependable, harmless, safe.

“i’m not trying to embarrass you,” sunghoon says, and his voice has shifted very slightly, careful in a way it hadn’t been a moment ago. “i’m trying to figure out what i’m working with here. if i’m setting you up with jay i need to know how—”
“you need to know how sexually inexperienced i am to set me up with jay,” jaeyun says, hearing himself say it out loud and finding it simultaneously absurd and extremely real.

jaeyun trades his psych notes for a shot at jay. he does not anticipate that the middleman would become an issue.

It started as a joke. He was just curious, he has been watching a few of these pranks on the internet for a few months now and he really wanted to try it out and see what could actually happen, it was this ‘pretend to fall asleep while facetiming your boyfriend to see what he does’ kind of trend but there was a big issue:
Jake didn’t have a boyfriend.
But he has a best friend and that works too, right?
alternatively: the four times Jake 'falls aleep' while facetiming Sunghoon and the one time its the other way around.
