After the Battle of Five Armies, Bilbo is emotionally exhausted about everything. Part of him wants to go back to the Shire, and the other part of him wants to stay in Erebor to make sure Thorïn, Kíli, and Fíli make it through their recoveries alive. However, he gets a bit caught up in royal politics while Thorïn is out of sorts and finds out he’s rather good at being diplomatic and plannings. Cue Bilbo in an accidental seat of power and shenanigans from the dwarves and hobbits with lots of love.

Wei Ying laughed.
When the doctor didn't laugh with him, Wei Ying laughed even harder, suddenly feeling delirious. This wouldn't be the first time he'd had hallucinations. The curse must have done much more psychic damage than he thought, no wonder his head was pounding! "That's so funny, you're so funny, I am clearly hearing things," he said, dismissing the doctor's words.
"It's not funny, it's very serious," the doctor insisted. "I fear you heard me correctly. You're pregnant. With multiple on the way."
Lan Zhan's hand tightened around Wei Ying's.
(In which Wei Ying is the last sane person on earth, and everyone around him seems fully convinced that he is carrying not just one baby - but five! He has to somehow solve the case of an angry fertility goddess despite how weirdly protective everyone has become, if only to convince them all that he is absolutely, positively not pregnant!)
