Cassian is well aware the transition to Rebel Soldier isn't an easy one for Jyn. He's also rather aware of his own slowly-appearing romantic feelings for Jyn. Neither thing, though, is a reason she should be allowed to continue borrowing things that aren't hers.

Summary
If you went to Eden Academy, you might be familiar with its two famous Imperial Scholars. Loid Forger and Yor Briar. Both excelled in their respective fields, making the students respect the two. They hold the record of the fastest students to get Stella Stars, ultimately leading them to be Imperial Scholars. Aside from their talent and intelligence, they are both known to be each other's archenemy. With their constant bickering and competition, it's pretty obvious how they hate each other.
Fast forward to ten years later, they showed up at their batch's reunion with wedding rings on their ring fingers, shocking everyone.

Summary
He’s always listening, she knows; always observing with profiler eyes, her every expression, her movements, the tone of her voice, what she doesn’t say. He’s been listening for far longer than just these past ten days. The artefact had simply added new tools to his arsenal. He’s always seen through her and cared enough to never confront her with what he sees. Listening and acting in consideration of her needs and wishes, without ever being selfish or pushing her beyond what she’s ready to give.
That is Mulder.
Her Mulder, who is simply always there.
Scully clenches her fist to knock, and the door falls open.
