Summary
A continuation of Cowboy Bebop, of sorts, starting at the ending of the final episode. Reader saves Spike from certain death at the front steps of the Red Dragon headquarters, then reunites him with the other members of the Bebop crew. Reader is persuaded to stay on the Bebop by Spike, who points out that she is the only medical professional on the ship. With Spike being hunted by the remnants of the syndicate, and Reader's own past to consider, a wild ride is sure to ensue.

Joseph looks down at his watch to check the time and if he needs to make a very special appearance tonight, but suddenly, there’s some shouting in the distance and Joseph looks back up only to see a pair of shoes careening toward him as someone dives into the car through the still-open passenger window, shouting, “Drive, idiot!"
Joseph, fortunately quick on his feet, does as he's told. Peeling out of his parking spot, he speeds down the road as Caesar adjusts his position to actually sit in the passenger seat and begins to load his pistol. “Hey, I was just going to check on you! How did it go?”
Caesar glares at him as he forces the cartridge in. “It was going great before you commed me, asshole.”
“Oh,” Joseph mutters, taking a sharp right toward the industrial district, “is that why you hung up?”

Summary
Reigen never planned on having kids. His relationships have always been short and shallow, he doesn't really care for the idea of marriage (except for the tax breaks), and that's without even considering his lack of interest in women. Reigen can barely take care of himself half the time. The point is, he’d make a terrible parent.
Letting Teruki stay on his spare futon after the kid’s apartment was destroyed during the Claw attack was an impulse decision. Reigen never had any illusions that he was a good guy, but he wasn’t such an asshole that he’d let a fourteen-year-old stay on the streets alone. They'd find Teru's parents any day now, and everything would go back to normal. Teru's lack of concern over their whereabouts was weird, but surely no parent in their right mind would ever leave their kid on his own without even a phone call to let him know they were alive.
