Summary
It's not a dream nor is it hell. He's not an Amanto, no longer a ghost or a demon, just plain old Takasugi with maybe a hint of immortality.
Gintoki is trying to recover from the final battle and the deep scars that remain when his old comrade decides to show up with problems of his own. As they realize they finally have the time to share that drink and make up for lost moments, their feelings for each other become relevant again after a lifetime of being repressed. Takasugi slowly grows to become more open and dependent on the people around him while navigating his second (third?) chance at life, while a certain silver headed samurai grows more restless with each passing day.

Written like an epilogue, takes place after the events of Gintama: The Very Final, delving into the lives of all the characters in the show, how they deal with the new addition of Takasugi; focused on Gintoki and Takasugi navigating their past, present and future together!

Instead of a cool space battle, we’re getting hit with a plot device from the Altana Gates that’s basically a middle finger to biology. Apparently, if you pine hard enough, the terminal spits out a kid. And guess who won the lottery? That’s right, Gin-san and the Mayora over here. (Didn't Hijikata-san steal Danna's lottery ticket in that episode?) (I didn't steal it, you sadist!) (He totally did, Souichiro-kun.)
And since Gorilla-sensei is a lazy bum who loves recycling his old sketches, we’ve dragged Dandelion’s Tetsuo Tanba and that Class 2-B brat Kumon Akira into this mess. Look, if you want to watch two idiots with zero fatherly instincts crumble under the weight of accidental parenthood, this is your stop. Read it before the studio realizes we’re using the Gintama name to sell this trash and sends a copyright infringement letter! (But we haven't gotten animation budget for this crossover, though, Gin-san?) (Shut up, Patsuan.)
TLDR: I took "Tetsuo & Akira looking like GinHiji's lovechildren" headcanon and fucking RAN with it.

He felt more than he saw Zura at the doorway, glancing between them with confusion and worry, and the other two hovering behind him.
He—he couldn’t do this. Not again. Without saying anything, he hopped over the balcony like one would a fence, darting off down the streets of Kabukicho. The shouts behind him washed over him and away, like waves on a beach.

Kagura notices the uneasiness coming from Shinpachi and confronts him. The latter tells her it's all good. Ginsan seems to notice it too but he acts like it's nothing. Both of them try to get to the bottom of it by also following him. That day his uneasiness was sky high. Ginsan finds Hijikata who tells him he's trying to find Kondo. Kagura finds Okita who ‘happened to be passing by’ and was planning to exert some twisted prank on Hijikata. In the end Shinpachi finds them all and yells angrily at them all. The next day he still feels uneasy and he could swear he caught a glimpse of light brown hair peeking through from behind.
