Summary
There’s a faint knock on the door behind Simon's set-up
“-m I interrupting?” The visitor asks softly, as he seems to walk closer to the setup. “Mm, no, you’re good”, Simon answers; somehow, his voice seems even softer.
“Okay, that’s good”, the voice hums, “I brought you food”.
Though the visitor seems determined to stay out of camera, a small sliver of tan skin and a cream colored, knitted sweater can be seen on the edge of the camera.
Simon’s eyes stay locked on the man, a soft “Thank you, Star” falling from his lips as if second nature. Like he hadn’t even thought about it. He probably hadn’t, because chat goes wild.
Or, Simon is a decently famous streamer. He keeps his personal life private, not revealing anything about his life or his relationship. His viewers don't even know he's married. At least they didn't until his husband interrupts stream to bring him food.

Summary
Ryland looked down at his clipboard, where he had written a reasonable script, supplied earlier that day by Adrian. Unfortunately, the moment his eyes landed on the words, his brain supplied only terrible ways to say them.
He chose the worst one.
“I need flowers with prominent reproductive structures.”
The man went completely still.
Ryland could feel his soul attempting to leave his body.
“For a plant anatomy lab,” he added quickly. “For my students. Middle school students. Not–” He cut himself off, because there was simply no end to that sentence that would improve his situation. Instead, he just weakly smiled, and added “Science.”

Ryland Grace is still a teacher at Grover Cleveland Middle School in San Francisco. Simon in the Uncle of one of his students. They meet at the same time as Colt comes back into his life, those things are not independent of each other.
Hope you're ready for this ride because it's...rocky. lol.Simon grew up in a death cult and his backstory will be discussed in depth, including the torture he was subjected to.

Summary
"There's no need to negotiate for your safety, Doctor Grace," Stratt says sternly. "I can assure you, after saving the world, you will be looked after."
"Um, no," he says, shaking his head. "I'm not negotiating for my safety." He steps aside. “I’m negotiating for theirs.”
They walk into the light of the open doorway; Simon, squinting hard against the vivid sun with his hand raised to shield his eyes and Rocky, who chirps a casual "Hello, humans!" with a wave.
There’s a gasp; someone takes a step backward; one of the military personnel raises their rifle slightly before Stratt makes a sharp gesture for them to stand down.
Grace doesn’t have eyes for them - he only looks at Stratt.
And he decides, then and there, to replace the image of Stratt’s face sending him to his death, full of remorse and sadness, with the one in front of him: utter, complete disbelief.
Grace thinks he'll treasure it forever.or: rocky and grace (+simon) go to earth instead of erid

Summary
Grace wants Simon to swim in the ocean with him, but Simon is terrified of doing so. In an effort to get over his fear, the two of them work on easing him further and further into the water as the weeks pass by. Now, Simon is ready to make a big leap in his progress, and he needs Ryland to help him.
And then Simon notices something is wrong.
