I was so sad after watching the movie recently for the first time, but reading this was like alcohol in a wound - hurts a lot, but it feels a little better then before. I truly truly wish the movie ended similarly to this, I can usually handle bad endings but ennis and jack deserved to be happy. So grateful for this fic, the characters essences were captured perfectly.

He develops the omnipresent feeling that he is being stalked, but when his dormant illness returns, it seems that he was only being paranoid. That is until he meets his stalker face-to-face.
