Summary
Abandoned by his wife just prior to the Jahr Null celebrations, John Smith struggles with what it means to be a Nazi. With control of his personal life slipping from his tenuous grasp, John feels compelled to punish his prisoner on his own terms. Terrifying though he may be, Juliana is not nearly as fragile as he expects after a day in Reich custody. Meanwhile, riled up Hitler Youth storm the streets of Manhattan, hell-bent on obliterating every last vestige of America. As Himmler lies between life and death, Goebbels makes himself at home in NYC. Meanwhile anti-fascist assassins are set to unleash their own propaganda on an unsuspecting populace. Despite the enmity between them, John and Juliana develop a relationship that defies their worldviews, ultimately unlocking the potential to alter the course of many lives. But not if John's rational mind can help it.
Pitch-black, white-hot sexual elements, explicit dialogue. A tortured John who tortures well. A lost cause, or so it seems.1/25/26: Trudging along. The next chapters have been eating me alive.

Summary
There is a grotesque beauty in Liliana Cavani's film so many (notably preeminent critics on the ultra-puritanical stateside) just couldn't seem to grasp; or, rather couldn't bother to. It's obvious they only watched it once, and with half-closed eyes, braindead to the possibilities. One such possibility is to watch it at least twice more before writing it off as exploitative trash.
Love comes in many forms. It is no less real for hopelessly demented freaks and those broken far beyond repair.
Set to the song "Mourning Air" by Portishead.

This is the chapter I contributed for the story "Matters of the Heart" that you can find on Fanfiction . net
Background: These two have gone through a lot of strife to be together and have been dealing with those old windbags known as the Privy Counsel...you all know why. They're going on a horseback ride and, oh it's just so beautiful.
Lord Melbourne has halted their amorous adventures until marriage...but he just can't help himself. -

*Chapter 4 is in the work, so it WILL be up here... at some point.* 4/2/22
An oversexed, eccentric artist meets an underpaid traveler/perpetual woman on the run and gets the shock of his life. And then an angry Nazi shows up.
Loosely based on one of my favorite romantic comedies. Veers somewhat dark at times, but not too perverse.
This story is not delving into the The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel because Declan Howell was only featured in that one extremely enjoyable episode (and I don't care for the show). Feel free to suspend your disbelief regarding his age and appearance as it's no longer the 1950s. He and John Smith are *exactly* the same age.

***CURRENTLY ON HIATUS***
Ordering plants from a catalog in 1840 can be a risky business...Lord Melbourne finds out the hard way that some things never die.
(Yes, this is the Vicbourne version of "Little Shop of Horrors")
There will be black humor, a ravenous plant, and, oh yes, you will learn A LOT about the history of botany and gardening in the early Victorian era.
