The office was derelict except for a small little girl on the coffee table, approximately ten years old, and engrossed in some sort of gadget. She was obviously comfortable here, laying languidly on her stomach across heaps of drawings thrown into shambles. While one hand tinkered, the other pressed thoughtfully on her chin. Her legs swung in the air wistfully, displaying a pair of light brown leather boots, and she carried an impressive head of light blue hair that was plaited all the way down to her waist. Slim oil crayons in various states of erosion were strewn all around her.
There was something familiar about her, Marcus realised. The blue hair had triggered a distorted memory, and he got the peculiar feeling he’d seen her before. When she lifted her gadget and scrutinised it with dolefully blue-grey eyes it became clear as day: Powder. Vi’s sister. That was her.Series
