"Nah." Jinx waved Silco's hand away and continued determinedly on building her bomb. True, she didn't have the neatest hair in the world right now: her plait had fallen to ruin since the explosion, and her locks were matted from months of neglect. Add to that the fact that it was terribly uneven - a direct result of her ex-sister's inept hairdressing skills - and you could see Silco's point. Still, she refused.
A short, light-hearted one-shot with these two because I'm still heartbroken over Silco's death and need cheering up.

It was mid afternoon, and for once everything around Silco was deafeningly quiet. Well, aside from the rapping of his fingers on the desk, and Jinx's hushed tinkering in the corner.
The hand that wasn't on the desk was gripping a fragile sheet of paper, judiciously sought out from a heap of pre-Jinx related documents, and crinkling precariously with age. He had had to search thoroughly for her old forms, to the point where the process had taken months-autumn and winter had come and gone with profound speed
Life moves fast when you have a child, it turned out. Now that child, who worked steadily away in front of him, had flipped everything he knew on it's head. That child, who no one else understood like him, and who understood him like no one else. That child... that child's birth certificate was clutched securely in his hand.Series

The office was derelict except for a small little girl on the coffee table, approximately ten years old, and engrossed in some sort of gadget. She was obviously comfortable here, laying languidly on her stomach across heaps of drawings thrown into shambles. While one hand tinkered, the other pressed thoughtfully on her chin. Her legs swung in the air wistfully, displaying a pair of light brown leather boots, and she carried an impressive head of light blue hair that was plaited all the way down to her waist. Slim oil crayons in various states of erosion were strewn all around her.
There was something familiar about her, Marcus realised. The blue hair had triggered a distorted memory, and he got the peculiar feeling he’d seen her before. When she lifted her gadget and scrutinised it with dolefully blue-grey eyes it became clear as day: Powder. Vi’s sister. That was her.Series

That did it: Jinx's eyes widened to twice their size, and the corners of her mouth upturned and formed a roguish grin. There was no turning back now.
