Keith shots him a concerned frown from the fridge. “…Yeah, you all good?”
“Yeah, of course,” Lance replies. “Just thought I saw a spider, that's all.”
The man by the window frowns.
Lance smiles.
It started, as it always did, with the quiet. And it ends, as it would, with noise.
Or, Lance can see ghosts and learns how to make friends, and also subsequently, how to let go.
