Summary
After finding himself grounded on the ship, forced to look after Shanks and Buggy after being accused of a crime he didn’t commit, Roger resigns himself to a very boring and uneventful night while the rest of the crew head off to the nearest brothel. Roger’s night takes an unexpectedly pleasant turn however, when he learns of the massive fair that the island was hosting. Despite his instructions to stay on the ship unless it was actually on fire, what kind of father-figure would Roger be if he didn’t take his two favorite cabin boys and reward them for all the hard work they did on the ship, in the form of terrifying metal contraptions that hurled you hundreds of feet into the air, only to fling you right back down, cheap and greasy carnival food that’ll rot your insides if you’re not careful, and memories of laughter, fun, and happiness, that Roger, Shanks, and Buggy will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Alternatively titled: My favorite fanfic writers don’t know how to let my favorite characters be happy, so I gotta balance out all the angst with a happy, feel good, tooth-rottingly fluffy fic that no one asked for but I’m supplying to you anyways because I fucking can.

“Aww, mate.” A voice came from his left, “you still upset about catching cod? I thought we talked about this.” Ranboo turned his head to see Phil. Well, not Phil as he once was. He was transparent now, and definitely not alive. The ghost smiled.
Ranboo had talked to the ghost once before, at this same pond. Tubbo had fallen asleep right next to the pond, and Ranboo did not want to risk taking him down the ladder. So the teen had fished right there, and had a lovely time with the ghost. If a little annoying, due to the fact that he didn’t catch anything too good. “I knoww.” Ranboo dragged the words out, “but I can’t help but be impatient, the clock gets to me and makes me anxious, I feel like I’m wasting time by catching only cod and salmon.” He looked away and went right back to the floating clock.

Sometimes when Ranboo is alone fishing by the floating pond, Philza's ghost comes around and gives life advice. This is just one of those times.
